About Us

  Tracey Caudill (formerly Keeler) has over 25 years of experience in the Thoroughbred industry.  A lifelong horsewoman with an extensive background across a variety of breeds and disciplines, her love of Thoroughbred racing was nurtured while growing up in upstate New York near Saratoga. Upon completion of her Associates degree in Equine Science from the State University of New York, she moved to the Horse Capital of the World: Lexington, Kentucky, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science (Equine Emphasis) from the University of Kentucky. Through grooming and management positions with several large breeding farms in the Bluegrass including Evergreen, Gainsborough, Elm Tree, Westover Ridge, and Lane's End, Tracey garnered an invaluable wealth of experience in all aspects of the Thoroughbred industry by working hands-on with the best of the best. In 2003, she purchased a small farm in Georgetown where she started her own successful Thoroughbred and pleasure horse boarding operation. After rapidly outgrowing that facility and meeting Clay Caudill, Tracey and Clay purchased Watershed Farm in August 2012 where the boarding and breeding operation has rapidly expanded to serve clients from across the country. Tracey is now dedicated to the equine management of Watershed as the farm continues to grow and serve as home to an ever-expanding roster of horses.

Clay Caudill has 25 years of experience in corporate America as project manager. He has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, Cisco Systems and MCI WorldComm, and most recently he worked for eight years with Lexmark in Lexington, Kentucky. His education is a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. Clay has worked many construction projects as well as managed several small projects professionally and has done significant mechanical work on automobiles, tractors and the restoration of antique boats. While Clay is relatively new to horses, he brings the ability to handle improvement and maintenance of the property and equipment as well as business process skills, and now is devoted full time to the business operations of Watershed.
