It's time to think about the 2023 breeding season. Need a mare? We've got 'em!
We specialize in helping mares enjoy motherhood and produce fabulous foals for their owners. We love to take recently-retired fillies and help them adjust to a more leisurely lifestyle as a broodmare. With the help of a renowned team of veterinarians at the Lexington Equine Medical Group in Lexington, Ky., our priority is getting (and keeping) your mare happy, healthy, and pregnant. This year, 98% of our clients' mares are in foal - most on first cover, and some of which have experienced fertility issues in the past.
When that special day arrives, we'll be the first to know thanks to our in-barn camera systems, and we're immediately ready to assist with delivery since we also live on-site. Your foal will take its first steps in one of Watershed's comfortable, oversize foaling stalls and enjoy its first warming rays of sunshine in a safe, private paddock before spending the summer romping with other mares and foals in one of our lush fields. Last year Watershed welcomed MORE THAN A HUNDRED NEW FOALS into the world for our clients, and we look forward to including yours in 2023.
Now that your foal has grown into an impressive young athlete, Watershed is here to help you get maximum return on your investment whether you choose to offer bloodstock through the public sales ring, for sale privately, or online. Offering expert sales prep for weanlings, yearlings, and broodmares for all major sales, we can also assist with sales representation, consultation, and marketing as needed.
Leave the endless stall rest and bandage-changing to us. With our extensive horsemanship experience and the oversight of renowned veterinarians, we'll give your horse the best possible chance for a full recovery whether coming back from a physical injury or simply a mental break. Plus, our on-site equipment such as a round pen, panel walker, and the availability of an equine swimming pool less than a 10-minute van ride away means that your horse can be slowly and carefully brought back to work and fit as a fiddle in no time.
